“Marx: politics and alienation”, by de Wilder Pérez Varona

The Institute of Philosophy of Havana and the Regional Office in Mexico propose for discussion a text of Cuban philosopher Wilder Perez Varona which calls us to reflect on the urgency to change the way of thinking and performing politics and power.

This book analyses the principal subjects of Marx’s theory: evolution, meaning, limits of action, and proletarian-class political thinking against the capitalist political-economic appropriation in order to link his revolutionary activity to a real liberation process.

The political economy criticism rise by Marx regarding the capitalist type of production and the relationship between work products in the conditions of the bourgeoisie commercial production, provides us with tools to analyze the current situation of the predominant hegemonic model and to suggest the interested people a talk which, based on Marx‘s way of thinking, suggests and introduces the theories and approaches contending for power against the capitalist model.
